Seeing the smiles on the faces of the recipients and beneficiaries of our water tanks was truly heartwarming. When we visited the community to witness water flowing for the first time, it was a powerful reminder of the simple yet profound truth: water is life. A Generous Donation Brings Lasting Change

Our water tank program recently received a significant boost through the generous donation of two 2,000-liter tanks from a kind American supporter. This contribution is making a real difference. Not only does the household receiving the tank benefit—collecting rainwater directly from their roof—but surrounding homes also share in this vital resource.
Ironically, despite Uganda’s abundance of rainfall, many communities in the Entebbe region still struggle to access clean water. Though Lake Victoria is nearby, many residents must fetch water from wells, carrying heavy jerry cans on long treks that take hours each day. The simple addition of a rainwater collection tank changes lives, freeing up time and energy for more productive pursuits.
Beyond Water: Supporting Education and Livelihoods

On a recent visit to check on the installation of these tanks in a lakeside community near Entebbe, we encountered two young children who had been sent home from school due to unpaid fees—a stark reminder that basic education is not guaranteed in Uganda. Many families struggle to afford school costs, leaving children without the education they deserve. To help in a small way, we gifted them clothing donated by an Australian supporter.
We support the education of a few children and would love to expand our reach. We have children waiting for sponsorship, so if you would like to directly support a child's education, please get in touch.

Before installing two water tanks, followed up with a fisherman who had received a simple wooden fishing boat from us. Built within the community—providing work for a local boat builder—this small vessel has transformed his life. With it, he can now catch fish and support his family, a crucial step toward self-sufficiency.
Bringing Light to Off-Grid Communities
Many villages in Uganda live entirely off-grid, with no access to electricity. A small solar panel with a battery can supply just enough power for night lighting, charging phones, and listening to the radio—one of the most popular ways for people without televisions or reliable internet to stay informed and connected to the world. With a modest investment, solar power can significantly improve daily life for families in these remote communities. We hope to supply solar power in addition to water tanks in the future.
The Impact of Small but Meaningful Donations

Returning to check on the newly installed water tanks, we saw the concrete bases securely in place, along with gutters and pipes ready to collect rainwater. A few weeks later, after the rains came, we visited again. It was a delight to see clean water flowing from the tanks and the joy on the villagers’ faces. We only wish our generous American donor could have been there to witness the gratitude firsthand.
At Oasis Outreach Uganda, we believe in using small donations to create lasting and meaningful change. Whether it’s providing water tanks, fishing boats, or solar panels or education, our goal is to empower communities to become self-sufficient.
How You Can Help We hope others will join us in this mission. With more support, we can provide additional water tanks, solar panels, and other resources to improve lives in these communities. If you are able to assist, please feel free to reach out—we would love to hear from you!
